auroras is an art space dedicated to artist’s projects. Created after extensive dialogues between Ricardo Kugelmas and artists, auroras serves as a space to realize unique projects outside of a gallery or institutional context. auroras does not represent artists; instead, the space collaborates with galleries to compliment their programs. auroras will foster an open dialogue between artists, critics, curators and the public with exhibitions, site specific projects, publications and talks. The space is open to the public.
The space hosts at least four exhibitions each year, including one solo show, one group show and two exhibitions featuring a dialogue between two artists. Additionally, site specific projects will be presented in the library and pool.
auroras’s advisory board is comprised mainly by artists, but also critics, educators, cultural producers and publishers. The advisory bord was formed to discuss projects and the program of the space.

The collection includes generous donations from Cosac Naify, APC (Associação para o Patronato Contemporâneo), Alexandre Manfredi, Casa Triângulo, Central Galeria, EAV Parque Lage, Galeria Estação, Galeria Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, Galeria Luisa Strina, Galeria Marilia Razuk, Galeria Millan, Galeria Nara Roesler, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, Mendes Wood DM, Museu de Arte Moderna – São Paulo, Museu da Casa Brasileira, Museu da Cidade, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and Vila Itororó.
